The workshop consists of two sessions –
11:00-12:00 – Gaga/people class
Gaga/people classes offer a framework for users to connect to their bodies and imaginations, experience physical sensations, improve their flexibility and stamina, exercise their agility and explosive power, and enjoy the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere.
12:15-13:30 – Expressional Composition: BodyBelonging(s)
Bodies carry belongings; Belongings carry stories; Stories carry people; People carry bodies. In this session we look at the simple act of composing bodies with and without objects in space, and the narratives it develops. We practice tools of making room for context as a consequence of composing, of placing in (and with) relation. Crafted images of bodies and their belongings will open a door into our personal-collective physical archive.
The workshop addresses professional performers and experienced non-professional.
Attention, the workshop is performative perspective oriented.
Bring along:
– Clothes in which you are comfortable to move.
– Notebook & pen.
-3 objects you have at home and like / dis-like or especially connected to in one way or another. Try to bring things which are easy for you to carry with you.
