Gaga & Movement Research Intensives 2026
Copenhagen | Stuttgart | Stockholm
3 Days – 3.5(+) Hours Each Day
Led by Kari Vig Petersen, Smadar Goshen & Lee Brummer

After last year’s inspiring pilot in Copenhagen and Stockholm, we’re thrilled to return — and this time, expand!
The Gaga & Movement Research Intensive is back for its second edition, now reaching three cities and welcoming an ever-growing community of movers, artists, and curious bodies.
Each weekend offers three days of dancing, research, and connection – a chance to move deeply, exchange ideas, and rediscover the joy of being in motion together.
Building on the creativity and energy that defined last year, this edition brings new layers of exploration, including Awakening the Senses session based on the GYROKINESIS® method and an Open Dance Floor for a creative exchange.

The Intensive
Across the three days, you’ll dive into a rich movement experience combining Gaga/people classes and movement research sessions led by Kari, Smadar, and Lee – each bringing their own artistic voice and expertise.
Daily Gaga/people classes focus on sensation, range of movement qualities, and the pleasure of movement, while expanding physical possibilities and awareness. Each facilitator’s interpretation offers fresh ways into the language of Gaga and your own dancing body.
The movement research sessions draw inspiration from Fascial Flow, GYROKINESIS®, Pilates, and choreographic exploration – using improvisation, guided tasks, and reflection to spark creativity and embodied discovery.
There will also be space throughout the workshop for dialogue, reflection, and Q&A, supporting a more integrated and conscious learning process.
This workshop welcomes everyone aged 16 and up – With or Without prior experience.
Whether you’re a dancer, performer, or simply curious about movement.
Bring your openness, your curiosity, and your love for moving – and join us for a weekend of shared research, connection, and joy.

Kari Vig Petersen is a dancer and dance teacher based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and completed the Gaga Teacher Training Program in Tel Aviv, where she trained with Bosmat Nossan, Saar Harari, and Ohad Naharin.
Certified as a Gaga teacher since 2019, Kari has taught at numerous dance and acting schools, companies, and through her own classes and workshops. Passionate about sharing the joy and benefits of movement, she brings a deep curiosity for the body’s intelligence into all her teaching.
In 2024, Kari completed her education in Fascial Flow and became a certified Fascial Flow guide. She currently teaches both Gaga and Fascial Flow for dancers and non-dancers in Copenhagen.

Smadar Goshen is a choreographer, dancer, certified Gaga teacher, and Gyrotonic & Gyrokinesis trainer and teacher’s trainer. She earned her B.A. in Dance and M.A. in Choreography from the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance.
Since 2011, her works have been performed internationally across a range of platforms. In 2019, Smadar relocated from Israel to Stuttgart, Germany, where she continues to create and produce as an independent choreographer.
In the past years Smadar had acquired an expensive experience in teaching both non-professional movers and professional dancers in various platforms around Europe, among them are academic institutions and programs as well as established dance companies such as GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, tanzmainz, stadttheater pforzheim, Dance Theater Heidelberg, stadttheater osnabrück and more.
Recognized as one of Germany’s “10 promising choreographers & dance pioneers” in tanz magazine’s 2023 yearbook, Smadar currently serves as the representative choreographer for Theater Freiburg’s dance department within the Réseau GRAND LUXE network. From 2024–2026, she is supported by the State Capital Stuttgart and the Landesverband Freie Tanz- und Theaterschaffende Baden-Württemberg.

Lee Brummer is an independent choreographer, dance artist, educator, and co-founder of ilDance, an international and independent contemporary dance company based in Sweden. Her multidisciplinary background bridges movement, psychology, and language, shaping deeply embodied and thought-provoking experiences for both dancers and audiences.
Originally from Israel, Lee danced with the renowned Bat Dor Dance Company and has performed internationally with a range of choreographers and companies across Europe and the Middle East. Alongside her dance training, she studied psychology, theatre, and somatic practices—an integration that continues to inform her artistic and pedagogical work.
A certified Gaga teacher, trained under Ohad Naharin, Bosmat Nossan, and Saar Harari, Lee is a sought-after educator and mentor. She regularly leads classes, workshops, and choreographic processes for institutions, companies, and festivals worldwide, including DV8 Physical Theatre, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Australian Dance Theatre, and Sydney Dance Company.
