5-Day Gaga & Movement Research Retreat 2027
Kärlingesund
Five days to move, explore, reset, and reconnect.
We are excited to announce that this year we are opening our first five-day Gaga & Movement Research Retreat on Sweden’s beautiful west coast. Following two wonderful years of our Intensive weekends in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Stuttgart (which we will return to), we are excited to share this new chapter with you.
Growing from the community that has gathered around our intensives, the retreat offers more time and space to immerse ourselves in movement, follow our curiosity, and explore a wider range of practices. Hosted at Kärlingesund Retreat Center, nestled within a nature reserve on Sweden’s beautiful west coast, it brings together movement research, shared practice, and time to connect with ourselves, each other, and the surrounding nature. When the weather allows, we’ll take our explorations outdoors, making space to move, breathe, and draw inspiration from the landscape around us. Throughout the retreat, we’ll also share delicious, homemade food prepared with locally sourced ingredients, nourishing both body and community.
We invite you to move, explore, and discover new possibilities in a welcoming space for bodies of different backgrounds and experiences.

The 5-Day Gaga & Movement Research Retreat
We’re delighted to invite you to our very first Gaga & Movement Research Retreat, taking place at Kärlingesund Retreat Center on Sweden’s beautiful west coast.
The programme brings together Gaga classes, movement research, Fascial Flow, GYROKINESIS®, Pilates, and choreographic exploration. Through guided tasks, improvisation, and reflection, we’ll explore sensation, texture, pleasure, and the many possibilities of the moving body. Each facilitator brings their own artistic perspective, opening up different pathways into movement and inviting us to discover new ways of sensing, thinking, and moving.
More time to explore. More space to let things unfold.
The retreat allows us to spend longer with our questions and return to ideas over several days. We can follow impulses, notice what changes, and allow experiences to resonate beyond a single session. Alongside the movement practices, the retreat offers an opportunity to step away from everyday routines and share time with a community of movers in a beautiful natural setting.
Who is it for?
The retreat welcomes everyone aged 16 and above, whether you’re a dancer, performer, movement practitioner, or simply curious about moving. No previous experience is required, just openness, curiosity, and a willingness to explore.
Come for the movement, stay curious, and give yourself the time and space to discover what can emerge when we move and research together.
